React Native and Code Push: Learn Once, Code Anywhere
Ever thought about writing code to iOS and Android using javascript? Ever dreamed about releasing code anytime you want? Well, welcome to Reactland. With React Native, you can create iOS and Android native apps without having to know Swift/Objective-C or Java; and the best of all: release code ANYTIME using Microsoft’s CodePush. We’ll go over creating a React Native app exploring React components (including creating your own native bridges), code structure, and pushing updates using CodePush. — Thiago Pereira and Jesse Tomchak
Thiago is a passionate iOS developer having released multiple apps in the App Store. He is currently trying to change how people learn along with the people at Picmonic, and is responsible for their main native iOS app as well as their new React Native app.
Jesse learned Objective-C as his first programing language (“not recommended”) when the iPhone SDK was released, and eventually moved out of administration work and into iPhone and iPad development full time. He currently has the privilege of working for Picmonic on their iPhone and iPad app.
