Caching in iOS Apps: When and Why to Use It
Since 3 out of 4 users abandon apps after one use, it’s critical that the user has a good experience. Caching can help, but does come at some complexity costs. I’ll make a “bold” prediction and say that caching isn’t going to change after next week’s WWDC. So, for a final topic before we all mentally absorb what the rest of 2016 looks like for our iOS developer interests let’s talk about a safe but overlooked topic on caching and strategies around why and when to add this to your apps. — Wes Filleman
