Month: October 2010
The next Phoenix iOS Developer Group meeting is just around the corner, Wednesday, October 6. Here’s the rundown:
First, news from the previous month, including new stuff from Apple, the developer secrets inside the new Apple TV, interesting new tutorials and code libraries, and what’s coming up in October and beyond.
Next, Brad O’Hearne will show off Big Hill Software’s new app, Big World. Hear about the inspiration behind it, what it took to build it, and get some great tips on using Location Services.
A five minute surprise comes next. I’ll say no more.
Then Saul Mora has three things for us before he moves away from the Valley. Two are presentations of new apps: a comic book reader app called Graphic.ly and a Big Ten Football app. Both include behind-the-scenes development challenges and how they were overcome.
Saul’s other contribution is a presentation he gave last week at the iPhoneDevCon in San Diego: Core Data Tips & Tricks. You’ll want to see this great presentation in person, so if you weren’t in San Diego last week, don’t miss this meeting.
Come to what will be an informative and entertaining evening of iOS development goodness. We’ll follow it with networking, gossiping, and general BSing at the sports bar just down the street.
